Sign up to serve at Orlando Children's Church with us on the second Saturday of each month! If you can't make it, Orlando Children's Church takes volunteers every Saturday, so feel free to show up!

Orlando Children’s Church is a Saturday morning program for underserved youth in the greater Orlando area. Every week, kids from kindergarten through 12th grade come to OCC to have breakfast, spend time with friends and caring volunteers, and learn more about what it means to follow the way of Jesus. "We believe that love and hope change lives."

Before you can serve, you MUST complete this one-time Background Check
After the Background Check, register here

Who can serve?

  • Individuals, families, and groups
  • Ages 8 and up
  • You can show up without signing up ahead of time
  • Groups larger than 10 must notify OCC ahead of time
  • Adults must complete a background check before serving: see link above

How long will I be expected to serve?

  • Saturday mornings 7:45-11:30am
  • Each Saturday is independent, so come every week or once a year

What will people do when they serve?

  • Greet children and write out name tags as they arrive
  • Assist with kitchen preparation
  • Play games with the kids at picnic tables outside, or play football, soccer, basketball, and ping pong during outdoor recreation
  • Some kids just want to color or do their nails, having volunteers who talk to them and make them feel seen and loved
  • Help lead small groups for elementary, middle, and high school

More about the ministry

  • Every week, children from kindergarten to 12th grade gather at OCC for breakfast, friendship, and teachings about following Jesus. Eight buses transport around 80 children to Maitland, serving underserved youth in the Orlando area, often living in temporary housing like motels and trailer parks. Many in our church population relocate frequently, lacking a stable community identity. The areas where we pick up children are economically challenged.
  • Despite the upheaval in their lives, OCC remains a constant. It's their home, providing security and a sense of belonging. It embodies God's love and provision in a tangible, personal way.
  • Every Saturday around 9am, buses arrive in Maitland. Children enjoy a hot breakfast and play with friends and family for the first 90 minutes. Then, they attend age-specific Bible studies: elementary, middle, and high school classes.
